Undignified Faith

…"I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes.” 2 Samuel 6:14-23 ESV

David danced before the Lord, acting what seemed ridiculous. When we have undignified, ridiculous, unwavering, unflattering, abnormal faith, we look foolish before the eyes of man but we capture the eyes of God. God’s presence stays where the undignified is. David’s faith came from deep intimacy with God. When we are intimate with God through fasting, God expands our faith.

What to Pray:
Lord, I don’t care what I look like in the eyes of man! I want to pray undignified, fast undignified, and worship undignified. Anything in me that isn’t after your heart, remove it. Release me from the desire to please man, and give me the desire to please you and you alone. Show me how to live in undignified faith! In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Prayer of Jabez:
Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh [if] that you would bless me [indeed] and enlarge [Expand] my territory, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm [evil] so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked. 1 Chronicles 4:10 KJV, NIV, MSG
