The Gift of Faith

“to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,” 1 Corinthians 12:9

When you put your faith in Jesus, you decided to believe and trust in the truth of the gospel. This was a supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit imparted to you the gift of faith to believe in Jesus! This impartation of faith doesn’t just go away, it’s the foundation for which we build our relationship with God on. Salvation was the first step of faith we took with God. God has many more steps of faith he will ask of us, but we can’t do it without the Holy Spirit giving us what we need, the gift of faith. If there is an area in your life that you need more faith in, ask God to pour out his supernatural gift of faith. God loves giving his gifts to his children (vs reference) and wants to increase your faith today.

What to Pray:
God thank you that it is by grace I have been saved through faith. Thank you for bringing me into relationship with you. You are a good father who gives good gifts to his children. Would you give me faith in the areas I lack? Would you pour out the supernatural gift of faith onto my life so I can walk confidently into the places you are calling me? Raise up a new measure of faith in me! In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Prayer of Jabez:
Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh [if] that you would bless me [indeed] and enlarge [Expand] my territory, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm [evil] so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked. 1 Chronicles 4:10 KJV, NIV, MSG
